Chaque épisode est ancré dans une réalité différente, avec des personnages différents mais tous traitent de la manière dont nous vivons aujourd’hui et la manière dont nous pourrions vivre dans 10 minutes si nous étions vraiment maladroits…
La série est un thriller et les épisodes ont quelque chose de “techno-paranoïaque” : “the ‘black mirror’ of the title is the one you’ll find on every wall, on every desk, in the palm of every hand: the cold, shiny screen of a TV, a monitor, a smartphone.” (Charlie Brooker)
ep01 : The National Anthem
A twisted parable for the Twitter age, The National Anthem looks at how life is very much harder for the rich and supposedly powerful now that information is disseminated so quickly and public opinion is so loud, powerful and quick to change.
ep02 : 15 Million Merits
Dark satire set in a future reality where everyone is confined to a life of physical drudgery – unless they can impress the judges of a popular talent show.
ep03 : The Entire History Of You
This episode is set in an alternate reality where everyone has access to a system which records everything they do, see or hear. You need never forget a face, a holiday or a night out again… but is that always good thing?
