I've been playing some of this wrong for the past few years.
Dave's soundbite inspired me to take a hard look at this song.

The part when the guitar kicks in after the bass can be played
at a different position but I think Alex plays it this way.
The simple solo is reminiscent of U2's The Edge's playing on
New Years Day. The tapped harmonics must be hit hard and be
sure to mute the other strings to avoid sloppy sound.
